In order to be considered as a volunteer TACKLE or FLAG football coach (head or assistant), you must complete the online coaching application.

Once you complete the application, you will be notified if you have been selected to coach. Due to demand the past few seasons, we may not be able to honor every request.

Background Check - Mandatory (FREE for each coach):

You must fill out the coaching application form above in order for a background check to be performed. ALL COACHES NEED TO HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK.

USA Football Certification - Recommended ($15 per coach):

STEP 1: CLICK THIS LINK TO START CERTIFICATION

STEP 2: Click “Get Certified”

STEP 3: Create an account by entering your username and password

STEP 4: Select “Tackle Certification” to Purchase "Youth Certification - 2023" then click "Continue to Payment"

STEP 5: Enter payment information

STEP 6: Confirm & Purchase, then click “Continue”

STEP 7: Complete the modules in order to become certified.

STEP 8: When successfully completed, email the certificate to uayouthfootball@gmail.com. Coaches must re-certify before each season.

Concussion in Sports Course - Mandatory (FREE for each coach):

STEP 1: CLICK THIS LINK TO TAKE THE COURSE

STEP 2: Select “Ohio” and click “Order Course”

STEP 3: Create an account by entering your username and password

STEP 4: Click “Order Course” again and select “This course will be completed by myself”

STEP 5: Click Checkout” (This is FREE. You DO NOT need to add the $35 Membership)

STEP 6: Check the box to agree to the terms and click “Continue” (This should be $0.00)

STEP 7: Click “Go to My Courses”

STEP 8: Select “My Courses” and next to Concussion in Sports, click “Begin Course”

STEP 9: When successfully completed, email the certificate to uayouthfootball@gmail.com. Coaches must re-certify before each season.
